OEM oil sending unit 1977ish 400
Just resealed my intake manifold. My 400 sits way back in the engine bay. It's a 1954 Merc M100 on an 83ish Bronco. To reinstall the manifold I had to "swing" it in using an overhead winch. After reassembling and running up the engine I noticed pooling oil on the rear of the block beside the oil sending unit. I'm pretty sure I gave it a good knock with the mani on the way in. The "main vacuum tree" at the back of the manifold is resting right up against the sender as well. If I've broke the sender (hoping I did cause I don't want to reseal the mani again!!), can I take it out and seal it with a plug? I have an after market oil pressure gauge already installed

Yes it should have a 1/4 in pipe thread.
Use a thread sealer.
Where is your aftermarket gauge tapped into.?

It's tapped into the block. Driver's side, beside the oil filter

What would you recommend for thread sealer? Blue Loktite? Thanks for your reply
