1972 Dana 70 "speedy sleave" part number?

Post by UnMark »

Looking for the correct part number for a "speedy sleave" for the rear axel(Dana 70), 1972. Also looking for vendors for this part. I understand that there may be 2 part numbers.

I want to have the sleaves in hand before I tear the thing apart again so that the truck is not down for extended shipping/parts search. This is why I do not currently have a measurement.

What is the best seal number to match or can I use a stock seal number from Napa?

Anyone had experience with this on their 70?

Thanks in advance.

You may find new, upgraded two part seals which incorporate a built in race, so no contact with the spindle. I don't know what they are called, but that's what I used in a 61 Eaton 2 1/2 ton, and that is what a Sterling uses. Look at all the pictures at Rock and see what they offer.

Thanks. I am also trying to find a good crossable part number for the lock/tab washer that goes between the 2 spindle nuts if anyone has that.
