68 Vent window - how to disassemble
I need to know how to totally disassemble the entire vent window unit, as I am rebuilding the entire unit. I read most of the posts and have the unit pretty much apart, but cannot figure out how to remove the window channel from the vent window frame. I have removed the screws from the top tab that bends over on top of the vent window frame at the top of the assembly and have bent it up. I read on line that the window channel should slide out of the vent window frame, but it seams to be stuck or a very tight fit and I don’t want bend it or break it. I would appreciate info or pics on how these two parts are disassembled so that I can remove the rivets and then reinstall them with the new vent window frame rubber seal. Thanks

Re: 68 Vent window - how to disassemble
Thanks for the reply, I did see this video and it helped with some of the disassembly. I did figure out how to remove the window channel from the vent window frame. The two slide apart had to spray them with BP blaster and use a small hammer and tap them apart without damaging them. It worked but they were stuck pretty good and took a while.
