how to get cheap good tires for my rig. it is a 1968 F500 with 7.50-20 Tube Type Load Range E tires on it. what about military auction type tires?
They are all holding air except for one that don't. I'm afraid the tire will fall apart if they try to repace the tube. i just wanna drive to town for fun or the car shows.

You could try summit racing, my car club found 750 17s there for a decent price.
Changing or patching the tube should not really cause any farther harm to the tire, it should be on a split rim, so you're not stretching it over the rim. A good tire shop is a must, as the rims are rusty and seating the rings is critical, but once seated, they will stay.
I have a '62 F700 with 830 20s, they are 10 ply and very old, yet I have loaded it over GVW, and driven at 60+ without issues, they look awful, but still run straight, and hold air. But this ain't Texas, rubber and other soft parts last better in northern climates.

I got some used takeoffs for my F-500. Still legal, barely. Which is fine, since it sees very little road time.
too many Fords, no where near 'nuff time.
or, money.
