Tilt Wheel

Post by goody »

Hi, is there anyone who makes an aftermarket Tilt Column for a 70 F250, C-6 Automatic Column Shift. All I see is for F100's mostly Floor Shift. Also I want to keep my Neutral Safety Switch that some seem to eliminate. Thanks for your help.

Ididit probably has it but be ready to pay upwards of $800-$900 for one.
You can bolt in a dent era, (believe 78' and 79' were the only two years tilt came in the dents) that have the NSS and auto on the column like I did, if you can find one).

Hey Goody, if you are still looking for a tilt steering column, I believe NPD has what you need. I am looking at one so I can bolt up power steering without having to take out my steering shaft and cutting it shorter and welding it.

I believe the NPD one (Saginaw) uses a GM steering wheel, fine if you want to add a custom unit.
If you use the '78-'79 truck column, you can use it's Ford wheel. A '77 or earlier wheel will not work, and an '80 column will not either, as it has an integral ignition switch.
Also, the late '70s mustang wheel will fit the '78-9 column, and was an option at the time.
