Not sure what section.. Windshield for 68 f100

Do windshields from different years fit the 68 ? On newer windshields I have read that they are thinner than the original..do they make different weatherstrip ? My local pull a part has a great 78 will it fit?

67-79 trucks will fit. when you get it cut the rubber off of the old one to take it out. new rubber gasket can be bought to reinstall it with. just get the rubber for your year of truck. and if you have the windshield chrome you will need the grooved type of gasket.

LMC lists the part #s as the same, so I say grab it.

Thanks for the fast response!!!!! I will pull it this weekend....just one more question.. The trucks previous owner installed some seats that I want to take out. I don't have the rails to mount a newer model seat. would rails from 73-79 bolt up to my 68?

the rails are the same also from 67-79.

I have read that a NEW replacement windshield is thinner so if I pull one from pull a part where can I get a new window seal for the old thick windshield?

its the same gasket they sell now as back then. it has to fit the old windshields too. i doubt that the new winshields are thinner. i guess they could be. but they onlymake one size gasket. it fits all.
