Hub question

is their any significants to the loc/unlock color on a big hub axle I think its a spicer hub? my brother inlaw has a 73 and a 76 one with red one with blue. both have FORD on them. I have only ever seen red... thanks

Never seen a blue one on a Ford myself, only on GM's.

Red dials are Ford, yellow Chevy/GMC and blue is Spicer Chevy/GMC used at times. All the same hub made by Dana/Spicer as original equipment for auto makers.

No difference besides color. If you can find extras get them. They are obsolete and getting tough to find. They are known for breaking leaving the hub locked or unlocked.
