Progress, got the front bumper and grill inserts on. Actually looks like a truck again. Can't put the light bucket in yet, I need the plastic insert that the adjustment screw goes into. I grabbed one out of a '69, but it turns out they used something different in the '70.
If the weather's any good I'll try to pull it out this weekend for some pics.

Something else that's different on the '67, the bearing dust cap for the front hubs. I got one from a '69, but it doesn't fit, the '67 has smaller hubs.

Okay, got those pics. You can see I still need to work on the hood. That headlight door didn't straighten out very well, I'll be replacing that. I do have the replacement lens for the front turn signal, but I need to pull the bumper out to be able to put it on.
The blue spot on the R/S door is where I waxed it to see what it'd look like without oxidation.
Need to fix the brakes and put some mirrors on it and I'll be able to take it for a real test drive.

It stopped raining, briefly, and so I tried to inspect the brakes today. Got one wheel and drum off and the wind picked up and the rain came down again so I put it back together and called it quits. I did notice the truck still has the under bed spare tire carrier and it has a spare that matched the 4 tires on the truck.
Earlier I got some wipers for it at Wally World, it calls for 15s only they don't carry them so I got the 16s. They work fine, but you couldn't go any bigger than that, the end of the blade is about a quarter inch under the bottom of the windshield rubber.

I wouldn't mind putting back to '67, and I was really tempted when Self Serv got the truck below. Only with my long list of major projects, (new roofs on out buildings, sheet rock and wiring in the house, property cleanup/maintenance, etc, etc), I can't say that I'll ever really get around to it.

Got the brake inspection finished today. Rears look okay, yet the R/R is the one that's grabbing. Adjustment is fine, e-brake cables are free and not hanging up, drums are good and shoes are still serviceable. So no explanation for the grabbing. Maybe there's some contamination I can't see.
The front, however, , L/F worn past the rivets, got the nice two gouges deep in the drum.
The R/F shoes aren't too bad, but check out this drum, it's missing a large chunk of the outer rim and if you look in the upper right you'll see a crack that's about to take out another section. Wonder how they did that, the backing plate doesn't show signs of prying and the drum itself isn't thin.

First your bumper looks like min did until i straigtend it(by jumping on it a few timees).
Second my LR drum looks like that and it has cracks on the other one too.

To clarify, just in case, the yellow truck above isn't mine, it was a junk yard rig that I was eying the grill on. The blue and white truck above that is the '67 I'm fixing. I do need to pull the r/s of the bumper out so I can put the replacement turn signal on.
Must be weak spots on these drums and the heat cracks them? I don't know, just guessing.
