Firewall Seam
My firewall seam has what looks like tar in the typo of it. It has cracked and is flaking out in places. Does everyone have this on their seam? It is a 1971 F100.

It's glazing compound. I replaced some when i built BC #16.
There's several different brands make sure you get one that's paintable.

Re: Firewall Seam
I used this on my truck https://www.summitracing.com/parts/smm-39377 Level your cab before starting. Flows easily and self leveling. Fast cure time and looks really professional. Be advised! It requires a special applicator gun. I didn't realize that when I bought it. I was able to use a plain old caulking gun but took some improvising to get it to flow. One tube did the whole trough with a little left over.
