67 F100 lowered crown Vic swap w/ 460 bb
So I've been dreaming up this project for the past 2 years and have spent a many nights on this forum reading and studying so I figured I would start a project page. So this is the first picture I ever took of the truck on the trailer headed home down from the mountains of Fayetteville, GA. I paid $425 and traded a pistol to some good ole boys for this truck with no motor or trans.

So like I said earlier I've been dreaming of this truck for a good while, because I had the motor for the truck long before I found the 67 body in Georgia I knew I wanted a big block and I found it in a 1976 Ford Thunderbird. Which was in excellent shape for being abandoned for 18 years kind of a shame, what I had planned to do to it, but it's sacrifice is greatly appreciated. Trucks are more useful.

Looking forward to seeing the progress of your project! That Thunderbird looks fairly clean, almost seems like a shame to part it out........oh well, it's sacrifice is going to a good cause.

So now it's time to get this topic up to date I started this project with no welding experience, a little mechanical knowledge and a lot of ambition back in may 2016. I decided to start with the front suspension. My plans were to do a Crown Vic front suspension swap but I wanted it lower then just the six inches that the Crown Vic suspension would allow. Which meant a lot more fabrication on the frame. I raised with Crown Vic crossmember 2 inches on the frame so the lowest point on the crossmember was even with the lowest point on the frame I have future plans to bag the truck and to lay frame.
Truck in will set here for a while
The interior was redone before I bought the truck

Cross member removed frame horns braced
First mock up of the CV crossmember I found an awesome diagram on this forum for the measurements to install the CV to match the factory wheel placement of the truck but I moved the wheel forward 1.5 ins for a better turning radius against the firewall when I go low.

Keep the pics coming. I too started with no fab experience with the Krusty Kab but so far so good. Had some good friends that taught me some tricks along the way. I had tons of automotive experience but nothing to speak of on fabrication. Keep it coming!!
