Cab and box mounts

Post by Fordfreak »

Does anyone know of anywhere I can get correct cab and box bushings for a 71 f100 4x4 long box?

Welcome to the site.

I'd try Dennis Carpenter for stock
There is also aftermarket poly urethane makers, Enery Suspension is one of them.
You might need to order for '73-'79.
It's been 15-20 years since I've done mine ,I think I had to add spacers under the radiator support.

The box mounts directly to the frame, unless you do a body lift. (which I don't recomend).

Dennis carpenter does not sell the 4x4 mounts, but, you can buy the mounts they have, and , have the rear mounts cut down to match the height of the front mounts. According to the Ford parts breakdown, the 4x4 uses the same mounts on the front and rear. So, you can have the 2wd mounts trimmed down to match the fronts, that's what I've done with mine.

You can get aftermarket bushings, but, you will have to have the metal inserts from your factory mounts for them to work. If they were anything like mine, they were toast, and these are not available any more.
