skyjacker front spring width

Post by mikejc »

I just bougth a 4in skyjacker kit off craigslist and the front springs are 3in wide and i thought they were supposed to be 2.5. The number on them is F746S, which, according to the site are 4" softride springs for 66-77 F250 4x4s. Anybody else have these?

I sure hope they're 3" wide! I'd be pissed if they jipped me a 1/2" of front spring like GM and Dodge did!

Not sure why, but all the heavier Ford trucks used the narrow spring packs until atleast 1998. The F-250 4x4's used them until 77.5. F-350 and heavier cab chassis trucks used them through 98.
