1972 f100 4x4 info
Hi everyone, I am looking for some information about a 1972 f100 4x4 short bed I am going to start rebuilding. First off someone has installed a 302 engine with homemade engine perches. Is there any factory Mounts that will work for this engine? Also would like to run 35s on truck, which lift kit should I use? I don't want any body lift. And should I use drop radius brackets? One other thing I checked the tag on my rear axle and it says it's a 9 3/8 (9. 3) is this the same as a 9 inch? Any info appreciated. Thanks Dennis

Engine stands:

9" is very close to the 9 3/8... Check the drivetrain category for more info.
Lift kits are a personal preference thing.... Lotsa companies make em, find the one that fits your needs and budget. Some are stiffer than others, so keep that in mind if you want to 4 wheel it or just pound pavement.

Man that's a lot of questions...just joking LOL!
Although I ran a 6" suspension lift on my EB for many years without dropped brackets.
I can answer that one! Yes, as the dropped brackets put the caster camber back where it should be.And should I use drop radius brackets?

Re: 1972 f100 4x4 info
Thanks, for info. I ordered a 4 in lift from rough country. But i still haven't figured out what mounts will work for a 302. Has anyone on here put a 302/351w in a 67-72 f100 4x4? If so what engine perches /mounts where used. Thanks
