The Dark Side gets darker, or at least sillier
OK - I still have a bookmark for FTE so in a moment of weakness and curiousity (morbid?) I thought I'd check their 67-72 forum - it had been weeks & weeks since I had - and all I got was a box that said I had to update my profile, that didn't lead me to my profile but instead to a "please register" thingie so - I thought -what the hey, I registered as trevs 67, with a signature as trevs67 the CACWBY in WI, and used the same old avatar. I know, I'm pathetic!
Well there was some newby asking question about how he could lower his 67, 4" in front without shelliing out any bucks for beams, just cutting coils a little. There were many responses telling him all the usual perils, mainly negative camber, etc. Well I got sucked in and posted a quick little snippet saying:
"Trust one of the lowered on this. If you want the look you have to pony up the bucks. Dropped beams give you 3" (unless you send MoreDrop your beams -they claim being able to get you 4"), + 2" shorter coils (store bought or diy). Yes you have some negative camber-so what, edited out by admin
trevs67 the CACWBY in WI"
Well the phrase "get over it" in my post got edited by the Administrator - and I received an e mail admonishing me for not following the guidelines.
Yeah I was being a bit of a wiseguy, but it wasn't rude or lewd. I just get tired of some experts carrying on about a little negative camber.
What a Hoot!!!
It truly is as Comet says:
"If you want useful, insightful information about the 67-'72 Ford trucks, you've come to the right place. If you want petty overbearing moderators with no concern about people or the quality of information they provide, then I suggest FTE. " Comet

Yea, Ken is sure getting heavy handed over there.
Next thing you know, people won't be able to work on their truck without his express written permission.
The guy's a hack.

I still meet with some of the local NW guys. Wasn't going to post this, but since you started it! They told me that Dennis got fired as an admin. Apparently he sent a harassing e-mail to someone (I can't remember who, don't even know if it was a NW guy or not) and that person complained. Also, remember Snooziums? I can't remember, but I think it was mentioned here about how they told her to stop posting on Fordification regarding the purchase of a truck. Scared her off I guess because we haven't seen her here anymore. I guess she hasn't posted on FTE either much lately. More drama than the day time soaps.
That's MR. Jackass to you fellah!

Yeah, I was wondering what happened to Snoozy. I wonder if she ever got that Falcon motor into a truck. She was pretty determined to carry out that exercise in the dorm parking lot. I hope we didn't rough her up too much over the idea.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Comet. I was reading some of that today, not sure if Dennis got fired or what, he is off again on again as moderator/admin there, just like a new bride's panties.
Them NW guys sure give ol' Ken the gears, then lick his butt, then give him some more gears. One day he will just go postal and wipe out the whole chapter and all it's members. Read the thread about splitting up the NW chapter from last month if you want to see the main gist of it.
I imagine a few of the NW guys will be sliding in here with their tails between thier legs soon. As an outsider to both places, I find it mildly amusing. More fun than any reality television, but without the digitally blurred-out topless women.
