I've spent the the last hour reducing a couple of pics of my truck to 80 x 60 pixels...When I try to upload either one for my avatar it rejects it saying pics must be a max of 80 x 80 pixels...Well, if my math is correct, 80 x60 pixels falls within the maximum of 80 x 80 pixels...What's going on?....
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I think that's kind of a generic error message to cover all possibilities. Your avatar is within the size allowed, but they also can't be more than 6KB in file size and must be in either a .jpg or .gif format. If yours are both, then send it to me at and I'll take a look and get it posted for you.

Re: Avatar picture
Keith, I've tried to reduce a pic to the size of an avatar, but it's so small, it looks distorted. Is there a good way to reduce thes so they don't look distorted?

Re: Avatar picture
What program are you using to resize the image? I'm guessing you're not making sure the proportions are 'constrained'....that is, when you resize the image, the height and width aren't getting reduced together proportionately. For example, the width is getting reduced 50% and the height 40%, which is obviously going to produce a distorted image.
If you want, e-mail the picture to me and I'd be happy to get it set up for you.
