The original tires were G78-15 passenger type tires. Closest would be a P215/75R15 or you could go to a P225/70R15.

Or Coker has G78-15's if you are going for a restoration.
I wouldn't go any wider than 225 on the stock wheels, my truck had 235/70/15s on it when I got it and they looked a little silly.
It now has 215/75/15 GoodYear Wranglers.

Good point, I think the rims are only 5 1/2" wide.

I know of an auto broker that likes to put 8" wide rims on the f100's to fill the wheel well a bit. But with a 'normal sized' tire. Looks nice.

Thanks much for the info, I went with P225/75R15s. They make the truck run sweet. You can' t imagine how much difference a set of new tires makes.68F250 wrote:The original tires were G78-15 passenger type tires. Closest would be a P215/75R15 or you could go to a P225/70R15.
