Shaving the rain gutter...
has anyone done this to there truck yet? just curious on what it would look like as I plan on doing this soon. I think it would give the truck a cleaner appearance, plus the body shop can go in and get rid of the rust around the windshield area. Any thoughts?

I haven't done it, but it might even cut down on some wind noise.

I've done it to just the down parts just behind the doors. From the seam down. It gives a nice clean look for gap on the door but it will be noticable if your door is slightly tweeked for it will either stick in or out. You no longer have the gutter to hide any of the factory imporfection or the tolls of time.
I thought about doing the whole thing but want to keep some of the styling of the vehicle yet clean it up a little.

How did you guys shave the gutters ? grind them off or cut them off and fill back in with metal etc.
