I am buying a flareside but want to change it to a shortbed, are just the beds easily found? Are they mostly rusted out if its a parts truck? thanks

I have a 1971 F100 fleet side short bed truck, original paint ( black ), never wrecked or abused, second owner, restoration project that has been stopped, lost interest, willing to sell right. You will not be disappointed with the condition of the body, thanks, Rick

I know the tailgates are interchangeable from the 50s through seventies on flaresides. I would check and see if the beds themselves are too.

I'm pretty sure they are. I have a friend with a 56 under construction. He has two beds and swears either of his beds would fit on my 68.
