How are any of you tackling repairs of metal floors?
I see the patch panels and once heard that newer bed floors fit, but with the wrong corrigation. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think the bed would have to be pretty good shape otherwise to consider alot of rust repair in the floor. The beds don't seem to be in that short of supply, at least not yet. Might be more cost effective to replace.

From what I've read it's pretty difficult to remove an old bed in tact. Doe anyone have experience doing that?

Removing the bed from the truck is pretty simple. Either with a lift or with a few helpers with strong backs.
Replacing the whole floor in a bed would be quite a project. The floor pretty much the foundation for the rest of the bed. It's all spot welded together. You would basically have to cut all the spot welds on the sides and front to take it apart.
