Re: 67 Project Update 8/10/21
Since the truck is at the body shop, I was able to make some room to start the tear down on the 240. My goal is to get the block to the machine shop to verify the block is good and to proceed with the rebuild. I'm proof that a project doesn't happen overnight. Still going and hope to have a running truck again soon.

Thanks 67mann. It feels good to do some wrenching on the truck.67mann wrote: keep up the good work, it'll all come in due time...

Re: 67 Project Update 9/14/2021
A lot is going on with the 67. Right now the cab and doors are at the body shop, the engine is being rebuilt, I did my first carburetor rebuild and I added Pertronix to the distributor. She's coming together.

Re: 67 Project Update 9/14/2021
Are you doing a straight rebuild on the 240, or are you doing upgrades? Changing over to EFI exhaust manifolds and swapping to a newer head?

Re: 67 Project Update 9/14/2021
Straight build. The builder found some areas from a previous rebuild 40 years ago and has bored the block 60 over. He did tell me he is upgrading the cam slightly, but nothing major. Right now I plan to keep the one barrel set up. However, down the road I may upgrade the intake and add headers, but keeping it basic for now.hfdco4 wrote:Are you doing a straight rebuild on the 240, or are you doing upgrades? The Petronix is a no brainer to me, (loved mine but always kept a set of points in the glove box for emergencies).
I'd be putting the F-100 show up there on my schedule for this truck if it were mine!
Looking good, (especially love the white roof as it will keep the cab 20 degrees cooler on Tn summer days)!

Thank you! I hope this serves as an example that all rebuilds are not done in a 30 minute episode on TV. My goal is to have the whole cab & doors painted Rangoon red by the end of the month.basketcase0302 wrote:The Petronix is a no brainer to me, (loved mine but always kept a set of points in the glove box for emergencies).

Didn't realize your color code, that was what I painted my 76' Early Bronco and man does it turn heads!
!0-4 on the 30 minute episode as TV leaves so...much to imagination these days.
I rode with a guy that bought an early Bronco in the Orlando area 10 years ago that came from an episode on TV and man was that thing scabbed together! He paid $6K for a Bronco I wouldn't give $3K for, (but man did it have some nice looking rims on it LOL)!

67 Project Update 6/1/2023
Well, it's been a while since I have posted on here. I've been adding things to the Fordification FB page, but miss hanging out on here.
So, I have my cab and doors back painted. The bed, fenders & hood are at the body shop for the next round of work. I've been able to drop the 240/Transmission into the truck, add other items to the engine, rebuild my column, run my brake lines, and recently installed my inner fenders & radiator support. My next goal is get the wiring started so I can get the engine started. Below are some pictures of my updates. I had to do multiple posts to get all the pictures in.
