4x4_welder is right might want to check out the NADA site.
71 f250 style side daily driver with 390 in my zip, low book according to NADA is $6200. The flareside with 390 is $6600. Crew Cab $7175. No Ac on any of the above. I think you would be hard pressed to get those prices, but it may be worth plugging in you zip and having that info for the insurance company.

NADA Is cool. They said low value(daily driver) about $7,000.00 In this zipcode area.

well the guy paid up,i settled on the 1200,that would cover all new part plus labor if i needed paint,my truck is mostly in primmer for now so its not that big of deal,im having a hard time finding a grill,i dont want to buy a new one because it will make all my other trim look like crap,my old grill was in perfect shape but it was 35 years old! does anybody have a nice grill shell and driverside h/l door?

if your in sac. You could probably drive to freemont or San jose and go to Pick n' Pull And grab one.

there are 3 pick 'n' pull yards here,plus 3 ford only yards and a couple old truck yards,i've come across 2 but neither were as good as mine was and for what the non pull it yourself yard want for it it had better be nice...maybe im just too picky...one will come up,does anyone know well a 71-72 grill can be made to fit the 70 inserts?

in my searches for a grill i came across a 72 motorhome...it will be delivered monday :hmm:
