My best advice is to take a close look at the feedback!!!! I bought some parts from a guy that had a pretty decent feedback, but the comments were hidden (didn't notice that until I'd bid). At any rate, 2 1/2 months later, I was neck deep in a dispute through paypal (98% unhelpful... they tried to seize his account, but there was no money there) and Square Trade (99.9% unhelpful... they wrote a letter or 2 to him and basically said I was out, and they could do nothing). So I left him negative feedback, and he blasts ME with negative feedback!!!!! I contacted ebay about it, and they basically said "they do that sometimes when you give them negative feedback"..... so I guess the moral of the story is NOT to depend on eBay or any of the so called "protection" outfits there... and pay CLOSE attention to feedback!!!!! I finally got some money back, but only after paypal had seized his accounts... I was about to make a trip up there to see him in person and at least get some satisfaction that way!

Avoid/Beware of vehicle purchases from the state of Florida!
The DMV laws make it very easy to wash a title/"Pink Slip" and turn a Salvaged/Junked title into a a clean one that you would not be able to research it's history.
I am not saying that all vehicles from FLA are bogus.
Just utilize some common sense and "Buyer Beware" and "If it sounds to good to be true it probally is".
If you can physically look at it and check it out, by all means DO IT!
Good Luck

I DO want to stress that about 99% of the sellers on eBay are great people that are very happy to have the marketing opportunity that it provides, and are wonderful to work with... but like anything now a days it seems to only take a while for a select few to abuse it and make it tougher for all.
All in all, I'm very very happy with everything I've had from eBay, and I continue to shop there.

re: ebay experiences
i have bought three cars on ebay, they were all local so i was able to look first,i would never buy a car by pictures and description alone, one persons idea of good ,nice,or even "restored"have yet to be the same as mine,i think its better to play it safe and be sure you can see the car in person before buying, regardless of the sellers feedback....

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I just about got stuck with that truck. On the way back from looking at that truck, I found my 72. If I would have got stuck with the ebay truck to, I would have pulled it home with the 72 just to show the guy what a good truck looks like, because I would not trust the ebay truck enough to drive it home.green70 wrote:one persons idea of good ,nice,or even "restored"have yet to be the same as mine,i think its better to play it safe and be sure
