If it works don't knock it right?
Now if you could just get lifters and spark plugs to follow that rule!

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Jegs, Summit and local speed shops are all a negative on that. Will try Ford Motorsports, but I bet they only have alum.460 crew wrote:Jegs, Summit, Ford motorsports, or the local speed shop will order you some goodies up.

You are supposed to stop tightening just before you hear the snap.
I did that once on the old style with the large T-stat and hal h--l finding another one. I don't think it ever happened again, I use gorilla snot now to keep that T-stat from slipping down.

re: Oops...
Jegs has one in their catolog for 17 bucks. Part #397-M-8592-f390. Also in the Ford Racing Preformance parts catalog for 17 also Part # M-8592-F390. This is listed for (352,390,427,428) engines. If you have a Ford dealership around you buying the catalog from them isn't a bad idea they have alot of stuff in it. I had ordered some polished aluminum 460 valve covers to get rid of the PITA oil leaks from the stockers I had chromed and they are top notch and don't have one leak for almost 8 months. You could also buy another cast one from the auto parts store and have it chromed

Re: re: Oops...
Thanks, I saw one in PAW, and will order it from them. But they didn't have the alt. pulleys or brackets in chrome, so maybe I'll try some of the others again. I am looking for chrome, not alum.460 crew wrote:Jegs has one in their catolog for 17 bucks. Part #397-M-8592-f390. Also in the Ford Racing Preformance parts catalog for 17 also Part # M-8592-F390.
