when i first saw this setup iwas thinking "wtf???" but after driving it with a straight linkage i understand why they did what they did (barring any attempt at a cable-still don't understand that one). i won't go back.

i'll send off the linkage i used to the first person to post and pm me wanting it. it's clean and has about two full inches of adjustment.

i actualy like the 73-79 style on the truck with the 302. of course as i say that knock on wood i haven't had her beyond 15 mph in the lot behind the house since i swapped it in.

but then again when i bought it it had two of the original arms welded together for a straight linkage and that wasn't too torquey but we'll see if i like it come august.
