I almost forgot Legendary Ford and Classic Motorsports. Those two and the Roundel are the highest quality overall. But probably only Legendary Ford is worthwhile for a Ford only person.

I also like to pick up some of the english rags from time to time: "Performance Bikes" and "Golf" are too good ones. "SuperBike" is O.K. if you like a little skin mixed with your motorcycles.

CACWBY, I'll have to check out Vintage Truck. I've not seen that one and as long as it's not Primedia, that's a good start.

I subscribe to Classic Truck, Custom Classic Truck, Car Craft, and Hemmings Muscle Machines. I think I'll let one of the truck ones run out, not sure which one. How many articles on chevy crate motor swaps or 67-72 chevy A/C installs do I need to read? The hemming's one has had some good articles on Dodge Lil Red Express, GMC Cyclone, and some other trucks I can't think of right know.

I occasionally will get Hot Rod, Mustangs & Fast Fords. A few years back I'd get Truckin and Sport Truck. Years ago, like 25 years ago, I'd get old copies of Truckin from a friend of my Dad's. Remember when all the articles were about F1's and 53-56 F100's? There might have been a token 55-57 Chevy article about every 3rd issue it seems. Just be glad we ain't working on Dodge trucks. I don't thing there's ever an article for those guys.

Vintage Truck is nice, but I usually freeload at the Border's Book store and read it without buying it.

I used to get Muscle Car Review until Primedia bought it a few years back. Like someone else said, a lot of the articles seemed to be shared with all their other titles.

Sorry I missed the big discussion. I agree with most of you, the car and truck magazines all seem to be high priced cheby build ups.

The last one I cancelled, but may pick up again, is Auto Restorer. I've eliminated all my other subscriptions except Classic Truck and only keep that one because of some of the technical article. They've also have had some encouraging comments challenging us Ford truck owners to come up with some mid 60s trucks for their pages.

I pretty much let all my subscriptions go. If you don't have a chebby or a G-machine (whatever that is) these mags don't do much for you. I do browse the truck mags when I HAVE  to go to Wally world or the grocery store.

I buy my mags on base so they're the same price as having a subscription. That way I only have to get the ones that look good for the month. But, in addition to most of those mentioned and a couple more biker rags I almost always get the local truck trader, heavy equipment trader and parts trader. Scored a $20 dollar weiand intake out of the parts trader.
Oh yeah, the lovely bride keeps leaving Martha Stewart Living in my bathroom. She has some really nice drapes in this months issue....
