Hi everyone,
I have a 70 F100 flare side. It has a 352 out of a 65 Galaxy and a C6 trans. One of my lifters has failed twice and the old one o pulled out was not marred or bent. My question is how do I clean the oil passages without removing the engine?
Also what is the best budget priced power brake conversion as well as disk for the front end?
Thanks in advance.
Lifter keeps failing.

I have run a bottle of Mystery Oil in the oil to try to free up sticky lifters. It did seem to help.
I would think it might also help to clean oil passages, cant hurt.
Just add a bottle to your oil and run it for a few hundred miles, then change your oil.

I did try diesel fuel but it didn't work. My next step was either sea foam or Marvel Mystry oil.

After removing the valve cover I found that the push rod was bent. I am goingnto rebuild the entire engine. What is a good company to buy a full rebuild kit from? I want good power but nothing crazy.

When I did my new set of lifters that was having the same problem, I got them from Rockauto.
You could try just swapping out lifters and pushrod for a quick fix.

Running old gas can cause pushrods to bend, if you revived a dormant engine, that may be what happened. Even a little old, mixed in with the new could cause a valve to stick, it should all be flushed.

There is a good amount of carbon on the pistons. I may try to rebuild the heads with new valves and springs as well as flush the entire engine.
Is it worth rebuilding the heads or should I get new ones?
What should I flush the engine with and how?
