I know the 300 Cubic Inch straight six engine was produced from 1965 to 1996 but did they have different cam shafts for different applications.
For example I have a 1983 4.9L F100 SWB three speed manual and I also have a 1968 F500 4 speed manual with the same engine.
would the F500 have a cam shaft designed to make any moar horsepower than the tiny F100 pickup truck? I think the bigger truck has a slower
rear end ratio and a lower first gear in the 4 speed so maybe the engine has the same horsepower and rpm specs. I don't know.
I heard of a different intake manifold on medium duty trucks though. I don't know if my truck has that manifold.
well i need tires and new muffler so i have been searching around for tires. 7.50-20 but that's a different topic for a different area. it has six lug wheels. they are TUBE TYPE. one tire doesn't hold air.
