Buying parts

Hello all, I recently bought a 70 F100 with a 6 cyl. I want to get some parts for the motor but am confused. The VIN says its the smaller one, 224 I believe, but the block says it's the 300. Anyway to know for sure what it is?? And are most parts the same?? Thank you in advance!!!!

Best to measure the stroke of the piston to find out what engine you’ve got.
