Working on the Pearl today. Water pump and timing cover are off, and fuel pump eccentric is now in place. Time to scrape the gaskets off and clean up surfaces for new gaskets. Now where did I put the new gaskets and the gasket remover I bought?

Bad...memories for me!
Not really sure how but years ago my 2nd 302 I assembled I somehow messed up the eccentric, (how is it even possible as it has an index dowel pin to ensure it goes on right-right)?!
I would wind up running an electric fuel pump on that engine for 10-15 years LOL!

I thought about doing that. even went as far as buying one, but I figured it was too easy to take everything off and put it back on.

Sunday installed reflectors under the taillights. Today received the new taillight trim pieces. The new Android 10.1 radio with the 10'" touch screen should arrive by the weekend. Now I need to decide if I am going to install it in the Toy or maybe put it in the truck mounted to the ceiling like I was toying with.

So took my new Dorman rim 16x7 8 lug and got a used tire mounted on it yesterday because the one on the truck rotted and popped. 265 75 16 and it is now on the truck. Only $55. Looks awesome, even put the hubcap on for a photo opp.

Is that a load range E tire? Regardless it's a steal at $55!

I didn't really pay any attention Jeff, just wanted a non rotted tire, he did have 4 but I only had money for 1.

Managed to complete a couple tasks the last couple of weeks. Major organization of tools, with the addition of another rolling chest. 5 drawer from Harbor Freight. https://www.harborfreight.com/tool-stor ... 64031.html
Installed valve covers and intake manifold and timing cover and water pump, Need to get the parts organized and into one location, misplaced valve cover gaskets so had to buy another set.

Cant believe how much those have gone up. I bought one about three years ago for $99 bucks from HF. I like it and use it all the time.

Spent some time in Arizona, mom was in the hospital found out she has cancer. Not working on the truck for a bit, should probably drain the tank of the Durango and see if I can't get it running. Been sitting for 2 years. Covid has pushed many things back. Wife leaves Tuesday for her twice postponed England trip for her 50th with her sister. She will be 52 in November. Don't take anything for granted. This October or November I will be a grandpa. I will make sure he gets a bump.

Back in Goodyear, mom passed yesterday morning before my plane landed in Phoenix. Loose ends to tie up here before I head back home. No work on the truck for awhile. Driving her 2000 Sable home when the time comes. Will need to fix the AC.
