1967 Farm truck save
I bought a 1967 Ford F100 from a church friend a few years ago, and I recently went over to get it. The first goal was to get it running, which we did. It took a little, because it has been sitting for 15 years. With some work, we got it to run. The carb will need to be rebuilt, but it runs.
We are going to tow it to the house, and work on it. Itll need tires, brakes, hoses, plug wires, belts, and a good bath to start with. Its a 3 speed/300 short bed, and Im going to try and make a daily driver out of it. Ill attempt to post pictures. Ill have to resize them again. Not sure when Ill be able to do that, so here is a link to the folder.

Re: 1967 Farm truck save
I know this is old, and its been over a year, so Ill update a little.
The truck actually has a 240, with a column shift 3 speed. The shifter was converted to floor shift and this is what is stopping me from driving it more. It does not like the 1-2 or 2-1 shift, where it has to drop out of one of the linkages into the other. Ive adjusted it and went over it, but it just doesnt like it.
I put all new brakes, and I mean all new. New lines, wheel cylinders, shoes, master and hardware. They work about as good as I think 4 wheel drums will ever work. I put 4 new tires on it, and a new fuel pump and coil as well. I also went through a few carburetors trying to cheap out, and eventually went with a fully rebuilt autolite, I think, that costed about $300. It works great now. I just started it after it has sat for over 2 months, and with two pumps of the pedal, it fired right up.
I wanted to get it ready for the F100 supernationals in Pigeon Forge in September, but after driving it this morning, Im not so sure. It has developed an exhaust leak, and an audible tick that sounds like a lifter. Neither of these is a big deal, but I have no intentions of restoring it or keeping the 6 cylinder. I already have a 5.0 HO (out of an explorer) sitting and waiting on some work. It does need a tailgate, so Ill be at the supernationals, just not with the truck.
Ill be slow in getting to this truck, unfortunately, not because I dont want to drive it, but because Im working on my sons 67 dodge d-100. Im almost done with it, after 3 years of work. I should have it driving next year, hopefully, and start getting it out to some events.
Future plans for the F100 are- mild 5.0 (exhaust,cam,intake...going for that classic fox body in the 90s sound) with a new 4 or 5 speed, disc brakes up front, with a vacuum booster, lower it, and wider wheels in the back. I wont touch the body. It has some rust, but it tells a story so Ill leave it. It will just be a nice cruiser that Im not scared to use as a truck.
Ill see if I can get some pictures going today.

More pictures....
Last picture is the Isaacs truck. It has 20" wheels from my charger, an IFS, triangulated 4-link, NP435 4-speed, roller 318, Ron Francis wiring kit, boxed and notched frame, flowmasters and a custom 2-1/2: exhaust. Ive done a ton of work to it.
I dont have plans to go that far with the Ford.

Both good looking trucks! Funny thing is I spotted a D100 setting under a lean to at a farm the next town over and was thinking that would make a nice project if I could get it.......seeing his is giving me ideas that my wife probably won't approve of......

Love the look of that truck! Pretty close to the shape my truck was in if you look at the forest service truck actually a similar green. Yes the 240 has to go!

Re: 1967 Farm truck save
The Dodge is great. Everything is beefy, the frame is thick, and heavy duty, the transmission is a beast. But its almost impossible to get parts. I drove from Tennessee to Missouri to get a parts truck for a tailgate and bench seat. I ended up using a lot more parts than that, but it was worth it for those parts.
The Ford should be easier. Parts are easier to get. Plus Im not getting into it as far. I want a truck that can be a cruiser and be used as a truck. Isaacs Dodge will be a very nice truck when we are done. But it wont be used like a truck.

If you are going to the 5.0 I would install a 5 speed and gain overdrive.

I plan on a 5 speed. Ive been looking for an M5R2 from an F150. I can get one sort of cheap, and it should go in easy. I cant afford a T56.

Good call, that should fit well. If you can get the cross member with the trans you will be better off.
