The VIN number indicated this 4WD F250 came with a rear Dana 60 with "T.S. Locking" differential.
May or may not have the gears it came with as I have NO history on this vehicle.
"T.S. Locking" - Limited Slip of some type?
Number of splines on axle?
Should this be changed to Helical type with 35 splines?
Where to get 35 spline OEM style 8-lug axles?
Thanks much.

Re: Dana 60 rear differential type - T.S. Locking
The t.s. locking may have something to do with the Dana Trac-loc system.
If everything is original. You have 16 spline axle shafts.
No clue on where to find 35 spline axle shafts for those diffs.
If i remember correctly. Bump/Dentside vintage Dana 60's are a different width than all the others made.
There was an upgrade to 30 spline (?) sometime in the mid 70's for the F-250's. (4wd)
I know that spring perches changed positions thru the years, 2wd vs 4wd, pre '77 vs post '77. Not sure how or what way, but some stuff does NOT direct bolt in. I know that.
I have heard of numbers of people using the Sterling rear diffs from DRW (80's-90's) trucks. Supposed to be a very close, if not perfect match for spring spacing and trac width. Never done it myself, so i don't know for sure.
