67cab not a 67
http://www.fordification.com/images/for ... -holes.jpg My cowl does not have round holes as in the picture Well the cowl lacing I just got from NPD was ordered for 67 because, all this time working on it...that's what I believed(my project has been a lie )my "parts" cab to be. The parts #s are defiantly different in the NPD book but, the picture doesn't do a good job showing the difference between the two fastening types. Has anyone used(they are made by DC by the way) the 68 and up cowl lacing I'm just curious as to how much difference or why I couldn't just modify the one I recieved
I've had enough and I'm not alone

Re: 67cab not a 67
I actually took the one from my 79' dent, (elongated/slotted holes like the lower image shows) and it snapped right into my 71' cowl Jerry.
I never knew the 67' had round holes!

Dennis Carpenter has a great video on the 68 & up cowl lacing.... I now see the big difference and will be returning the 67 cowl lacing that I bought from NPD and going through DC for the right stuff

Dang...Jerry!
I had completely forgotten about the grill I bought from you, (I wound up selling it before ever getting it put on BC #16 to a guy who worked in Chattanooga before I moved from there).
Figured since it had already traveled from N.Y. to Florida/from Florida to Tennessee/that it deserved to finally be mounted on a truck LOL!
A guy from Georgia who owned a 68' crew cab-who did auto dealer touch up paint jobs, (he's a member here-can't remember his username) bought it!

Re: 67cab not a 67
My late production 1969 Ford F-250 uses a 1970 cowl lacing. I believe that close to the end of a production year, it was quite common to mix parts.
