1969/up remote mirror

Mates, I have a 69/72 outside remote mirror I want to install on my 1970 F-100. I can't find any info on where the remote control is to come through the inner door/door panel. The cables are only about 12 inches long from the base to the handle. Anyone have one of these or know where the whole for the remote control knob goes through the inner door or door panel? Thanks in Advance

If you're still with us in the 1971 dealer brochure it shows a couple pictures of the remote knob.
You can access it in our literature library.
