Did the drive shafts come from the factory painted? If they didn't is there an issue with painting them. Thanks for any help on this!

I'ts fine to paint them, (as I always have) just keep the paint off of the u-joint bearing cap area or you'll have a harder time in reassembly.

Thanks! The only ones I have ever seen are rust "patina" colored. I think I am going to try some Eastwood Detail Grey spray paint on it, the can says it gives the appearance of bare metal.

Wanna really...make a statement?
We painted the main engine shaft, (20" diameter solid steel) in the engine room on my navy ship "barber pole" that was hypnotizing when underway LOL!
