Blower motor 72 F100

Post by jlb »

72 F100 reg cab 302v8 no air. 3speed

I think its time to replace my blower motor.. Doesn't seam to blow very hard. Do I need to remove the heater box Or can I just unbolt the motor and pull it out with the fan attached? Will the fan fit though the opening? Or do I need to remove the box and take the fan off before I can remove the motor?

Thanks in advance. I found a few threads, but they are all with the heater box out of the truck. So I can't tell if they removed the fan first.

All you do is unbolt it and pull it out.

Check for junk in the box, mice like to build nests in there.

And check that full voltage is getting to the motor.

If you do decide to pull it, go ahead and rebuild it and supercharge your fan. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... hp?t=73960

For the voltage? Just put a meter on it and look for 12 volts?

Yes , with the switch on high, and more than 12 if the engine is running.
