Factory Reproduction Wiring Harnesses

Post by 69-er »

Been searching and didn't get very far. Are there reproduction harnesses available for 67 F100's? I found some for earlier years and your typical Painless and Update Series kits but I would like something more plug n play. Specifically need the engine compartment harness w/240 engine at the moment. I could even wire it from scratch and it would function and look just like factory but time is not on my side.

Thanks!

HANG ONTO YOUR HAT, (when you see the price)!
Don't know of anyone else carrying the OEM style. You have Painless, EZ Wiring and a few more junky cheap aftermarket harnesses to choose from but if I ever had to do it again I'd spend the extra change and go this route for ease of installation and dependability of what should be an American made, (DC) product:

Yeah, that's American Auto Wire's harness. I found them as low as $719 on eBay. I've used them in the past and they work very well. They work great in GM products since that's what they are based on but it sure seems strange to install it in a Ford truck! I'm a bit of a purist so I typically like to keep things factory looking.

1967 seems like an odd year for harnesses too. I see some OEM styles for earlier and later years but not much at all for 67.

Search for Bauer Electronics, in Bend, OR.
Also, you might try Narragansett Reproductions, in Rhode Island.

I've got a used factory underdash harness from a 67 F-350 that I removed myself that I would part with for a lot less than d.c.'s price.
1967 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
Another 67 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
2016 F-150 Eco-Boost 2.7 liter. (It will smoke the tires!)
1972 F-350 Sport Custom cab & chassis.
1972 F-250 Explorer Special, Camper Special.
1971 F-100 custom. 302, C-4, p.s. p.b. factory 65 amp alternator with transistorized voltage regulator.

I think I am gonna have to go with Centech. Good prices and except for the fuse box I can get it looking pretty close to the factory look and routing. Looks like it has correct looking switches too.

Thanks for the offer Busboy. The under dash harness is pretty good shape for its age but 50 years of exposure for any harness has surely increased the wire-to-terminal resistance.
