I just finished the rebuild of my 352. During the burn-in, the engine got a bit toasty. I painted the block/heads with VHT engine enamel, and the stock exhaust manifolds with Eastwood exhaust paint. During burn-in, the heads next to the manifolds got hot enough to burn the VHT paint off the heads. Now that the burn-in is done, can I repaint the heads with the VHT, or will they still get too hot during the normal driving that I need something else?

Re: Paint for Engine Heads
Pointless unless you get blue exhaust paint (if it survived on the manifolds). Curse of the FE.

Re: Paint for Engine Heads
POR15 engine paint stays on pretty well, but suspect it won’t work after the fact. It turns darker but so far is staying on...
