Fender rubber between fender and firewall

Post by Zorm »

I got two of the large pieces but need the rest. I got the two pieces from LMC, should I get the rest from LMC or go DC or some one else? Also, what has every one done with the wiring in the engine compartment? Re-rout it so its hidden or recover it and make it look nice.

Mine came from DC and is very good quality. On the wiring, Summit carries a really nice braided nylon wrap. https://m.summitracing.com/parts/sum-890341. I used it on my Fairlane and intend to use it on my truck. It's split and wraps around itself. Holds its shape well yet easy to install. Comes in 1/4" and 1/2" dia n 25 ft rolls.

The braided stuff looks nice. I used plastic wire loom-the kind found in modern cars, which looks like irrigation pipe. It gives a clean appearance and protects wires against abrasion. The stuff I got was used, stripped from junk cars, but this company has it in several diameters and colors, and I'm sure you could also find it on Amazon.
