Wheel well Modifications ??

Post by VinceF100 »

1972 F100- Dealing with rust at bottom of firewall where it meets floor pans. It's the normal rust that most of us see. My thought is---- Is there an aftermarket plastic/composite wheel well that can be installed to keep wheel water spray away? Or maybe a wheel well from another vehicle that might fit. I am open to suggestions :? :? . And before anyone asks, yes I plan to replace floor pan and other rust areas but thought by installing a "proper" wheel well it would mitigate problems in the future. Thanks

I have a pair from a dentside bronco, I think I paid $20 for the pair at a local yard. They fit pretty good but need some love and a set of fender trim to help fit the lip better. They do do an amazing job at keeping trash away from the front cab mount and were worth the effort. I still need to get the trim though.
