I'm not sure who owns it. There is a website that has a bunch of pictures of that truck, and i saved all the pictures but can't find them anywhere. You are probably the 3rd person to ask about more info on that truck... wish i had it.

I just bought a 79 Dentside F600 crew cab. I have not picked it up yet but I will post pics when I get it. I wish it was a bump but for the shape it is in and the price I am not going to complain one bit.

Ok guys I got my new to me first, 1979 F600 Crew Cab, I bought this from a Company in Portland, Or. Well first off this truck came from Montana and it use to sit in a truck stop, just waiting for a railroad to have a spill some where. This is all I no about it. The truck Has 19,000 original miles and is clean and rust free, it has a few dings in it and it is missing a few things but that's about it. It has the 370 engine and an automatic transmission I think it is an Alison but not sure at this time. It has a Service type of box on it, but I will be putting a flat bed on it. From the back of the cab to the back bumper is 11' and I have a 12' flatbed I can use on it. The Master cylinder leaks like crazy so I am going to rebuild it other wise this is a very clean sound and quiet truck. Anyway I bought this truck for $900 and I drove it home, once I worked out the flat spots in the tires it rode pretty good. Well guys this is my Crew story and if I make any changes I will keep you posted. So enjoy. Thanks Michael

That is an awsome truck freak! It is super nice and clean and has the best of the bump and dent worlds. The bumpside style dash with round gauges and dentside era doors. Great find!

Thanks Fireguy, Ya the dash is perfect the dash pad is like brand new. Even the Am radio still plays like new.
I heard tell if the company did not sell the truck they would have scrapped it. Because I bought for a little less than scrap price. I could not see this get crushed that would of broke my heart.lol

Thanks Robroy, I think I am going to paint the outside of it green so I don't have to change the inside. I would like to some day find a chrome grill for it. and I need to find a front bumper, or make one.

4x4Freak I'm sorry you got ripped off. I feel so bad for you I am willing to give you your money back on it that way you can put this all behind you...

Great find, really nice truck. You can always have your steel grill chrome plated. It would hold up better than an aluminum one. As for the bumper, I would build your own. Maybe buy some large pipe and make a pipe bumper.

What I got ripped off.lol I am sorry FormerMarine I am going to have to pass on your offer. I was thinking on making a bumper out of some 10" channel iron. Today I pulled the master cylinder off so I can rebuild it, It was leaking for a while, but I pulled up the floor mat to clean the fluid up and the floors are still in awesome shape but there is some minor pitting nothing big. It's all clean now.

I was also digging in the glove box and found the O for the hood, and I also found part of the Build sheet along with the Original owners manual and a couple other things. I will get pics of that stuff to.

The Factory color was Green, then the outside was painted Orange, then the last color is the white. So I am going back to the Green.
