Great pics and it looked like a great time. I wish that I could have made it.
I do want to know why all you guys are standing in front of that nice looking truck... just a shame to waste pictures of a nice looking Ford F100''
Sorry I could not have made it gang':('
Take care,
maybe the next one will work out better (for me and timing that is).
Bobby

re: Texas/Oklahoma meet and greet......Time to start plannin
Well, I made it back....man, what a LONG drive! It was right at 1000 miles from here to Houston, where I spent a few days with family before heading north to the Meet & Greet at Ford Hood. Even though it was almost starting to look like nobody was going to show, we were pleasantly surprised to find Tony and his wife, and Greg showed up with his great-looking '70. After eating and getting to know each other, we headed out to Chris' house, where we were joined by Bob, and then we all sat around for another couple hours just talking trucks. After everyone else had to hit the road, Chris and I spent the evening doing some more of that. Then the next day we went over to Bruce's (FAULKDADDY) house where I got to spend some time drooling over his very-cool '67 flareside drag truck. He fired it up for me and I have to admit that thing was absolutely awesome! I took a lot of pics and will get them posted as soon as the film gets developed. Bruce is also going to supply some video of his truck at the strip and I'll post those to the site as soon as possible. I also got some pics of Chris' truck project. He only had about another day's worth of work left to do before being able to fire the new engine up for the first time, but ran out of time before the M&G.
Anyway, I had a GREAT time! Even though Chris and Cindy have a lot going on in their lives right now, I agree that they were both very gracious hosts and I'm very grateful for everything they did to help get this set up....and for putting up with myself, my wife and three very rambuntious kids. (Well, 2 kids and a whiney newborn!) Thanks Chris!! We left there at about 7PM last night and drove straight through the night to get back here, and arrived about noon today. I took a 4-hour nap as soon as I walked in the door, and am finally getting back to normal. As soon as I post this, in fact, I need to get started getting all our gear back inside.
Thanks for those pics, Tony...(and just so you know, that 'ghostly image' in those photos is cigarette smoke. I've done that dozens of times while taking shots of parts at the shop. )
I'm going to do a writeup tomorrow with some details of the get-together and will also post Tony's pics there. I got a bunch myself, but since they're on film, it'll take a couple days to get them developed, scanned and posted. Stay tuned.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
