Holly wood what is up with them?

Post by rjewkes »

Do they not know how to keep a story straight?

I was watching the dukes of hazzard first season episode #5 High Octane.

And in this episode Uncle Jessie Owns and drives a working 67-72 F100 or 250 Short Stepside.

But every episode before and after it is a 74-81 F150.

I know it is just a show but dang it I notice these things.

I am glad that I am not the only person that sees those little things. My wife yells at me all the time for finding things like that. Good job!!!!!!!

I know the first 6 episodes were actually fimed on location in Covington GA.

The rest were filmed in California.

Maybe on the first ones they didn't have the opportunity to use the same truck.

Have you also noticed that Cooters wrecker changes many times throughout the series?

One time it is one of our vintage, one time it is a newer truck, one time it is an older chevy.

Perhaps it is whatever is on hand that day the general started as a 69 became a 70 then a couple of 68's without the cloth top wings back to the 69 and then 70. And some were automatic and others were manual. And some had the roll cage visiable and some not so much. And of course the pushbar and grill.

I too get hollored at for noticing these things. I also can tell you some actors other rolls.

like in love actualy you see the guy that plays arthur dent in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy movie.

I also when i owned the nova notice all novas(still do) that were either on tv, in movies or being driven in the same area. Same with the truck.

I notice all ford trucks 40 something to current and the novas 60 something(62?) to '79 after 79 they are just toyota corrollas' with different decals/badges.

What if he owns more than one truck? If I drive my '61 one day and my '71 the next, do people say, hey, that Comet guy can't get it straight. One day he's driving a '61, next a '71?

Well but when they can't afford the farm,Bills and three vehicles. How can they have the 4extra truck?

Oh well. See now if we had known you to have one 61 and a 71 then no. We know you just felt like driving one instead of the other.

I noticed in one episode where Jessie's truck kept changing from a 3/4 to a 1/2 ton and back between scenes.
And the new move they have him in an old Dodge! Grrrrr
Ah well, the new movie's all out of whack as far as details go anyway...
