Post by 4x4x4crewcab »

Nothing extra. just the stock 360---new rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, timing chain, water pump, heads looked great had been done prior by someone, complete clutch, flywheel ring gear. The trans had bearings, all syncro's,seals and gaskets and a new nose cone for the fork and bearing to ride on.
Keith don't worry I have a feeling your gonna catch me. I have got to slow down the spending on this. The Mrs. is starting to show some interest and that only means one thing :x This should keep me busy for a while now. Just a bit more body and paint work to the back of the cab and this unit is on its way back to only taking up one stall in one garage. :D

Wow is right....that's looking GOOD, Mark! I like the 'before' and 'after' shots, that's one heck of an improvement.

So what did you paint your engine with? Brand and color?

It looks like you don't have power brakes for that monster?!?!?! Would a pb booster off a '70 Sport custom work for your application? I just happen to have one here...

I've been watching your project for a while, it looks good. Did you use rattle cans on the engine, and if you did, how many cans did it take? I am hoping my engine looks like that in a couple of weeks, because I am partially disassembling it.

:woohoo: It runs and moves under its own power. Although I did start the engine last Sunday for the first time I'm calling today as offical. I had a few tiny setbacks (like a gas bath from a loose fuel line, and a poor running condition due to incorrect carb. spacer gaskets) last Sunday and it only ran for a few seconds so today worked the bugs out and will call it good.
I also bled the the brakes and installed the tranny to transfer case driveshaft before my Victory lap or Maiden Voyage around the yard. :D
