They're as predictable as Cosmopolitan, with Chevs and 53-6 effies instead of a 'new' groundbreaking article every month about you-know-what :)

Yeah, I started a sub. last yr. to Classic Trucks. Shortly thereafter they let in new junk and I sent a note (that actually got published in the letters section-at least part of it anyway) saying I would not renew. Now it's renewal time and I'm done. My feeling was that basically those later model trucks were well covered by other mags and I don't consider plastic trucks "classic" like their mag. name states. I also stated that car shows looking to limit entrants to certain years considered "classic" most typically select 1972 as the cutoff. The beginning of the gas crisis and end of muscle car era. Some select even earlier, but I have never heard of one being later. The same logic should apply to the mag, but one thing everyone should know about all Primedia mags is advertisers, not subscribers determine the content. I am letting all my Primedia subs (I have 5 of them, mostly 4x4 related) go.

Primedia is secretly taking over the WORLD. They publish practically everything. And they create a huge inhaling type noise!! (I'm too old and mature to say they suck).
They did one article on new stroker 302/351 block 427 build up and used it it in every magazine, but Petersen used to do the same when they ruled the roost. Classic Trucks did run Sean's green 70 last year after he won Top Truck for 67-72 at SuperNats, but it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to go through the whole thing. I did drop Truckin' er I mean Colorado River Boats or whatever it is, and will probably drop Car Craft and/or Hot Rod, they are going downhill pretty fast. I used to enjoy all the Magazines more when I was planning my project, but now I just get them out of habit. If you really like old trucks get Vintage Truck. And for lots & lots of pictures of Good Guys events become a member and get the Good Guys Gazette every month, it's huge and has practically a picture of every car & truck entered at their events.

I don't subscribe and I only buy the ones that have a 67-72 in it...which means I don't get alot of magazines.
