To Show or Not To Show

Post by thethump »

My bump ain't no heap, but she's not exactly show quality. (see link below) Not sure what definition will be used for "stock" at the F100 SN in Knox, but I can show it for $50 or pay $30 either way for general admission all 3 days. What do you think? Show it? I can even bring home a t-shirt and tell the old lady it was an award.

Then again, $50 in gas would give me a decent head start to a corner in Winslow Arizona.

This great song mentioning a flatbed Ford was released on May 1, 1972, the band’s first single. 72 was a good year, ah yes.

Regardless of how nice or not, show it. I always look at a vehicle that isn't exactly show perfect. They are usually bragged upon by people alot. Mine has gotten compliments at local shows, and it has several issues.

Go for it. At least when you have her all shined up that usually puts a smile on your face.

I take my "work in progress" to cruise nights a few times every summer. There's something to be said about not being the best but maybe the most unique vehicle at the event.

Show it, it will be fun and you may be the only Bumside there. You get a free shirt, and a chance to show off your truck and have a great time talking to others about it and meeting more fans of these trucks.

every time i have taken my "20 footer" to a show just to go look i always have the gate workers tell be to park it in the show. i know it is nowhere near show quality, but someone is always interested. i go to shows for ideas. i don't care if the cars or trucks are top of the line or not, you never know where you will find inspiration. show it!

edit. think of it this way, for an extra 20 you get to park in the infield, have a "home base" so to speak and easy access to your shade, cooler and a place to rest when tired from all that gawking you are going to be doing. lol

I'll probably make a day of it on Saturday. The truck may after all have a for sell sign on it as well.
