Lyle and I plan to replace the floor pans and cab mounts on Sunday, 7-3-05.
The cab mounts I got from Carpenter do not have a hole drilled in them for the mounting hardware. I assume what I need to do is set the cab at the right height, slide the mount in until it contacts the cab, then mark and drill the hole for the bolt.
However, since my current cab mounts are sagging, I do not know what the proper cab to frame measurement should be.
If some one could measure the height from the BOTTOM of the ridge on the firewall straight down to the TOP of the frame and let me know what the proper cab height should be I would greatly appreciate it.
I have a '68 F100 with power steering. I really need to get the cab height correct to make sure the steering shaft and steering gear shaft line up properly.
Thanks much, all!
