On the 69 windshield washer resevior you note that nobody is reproducing it. Actually all the catalogs sell it. I bought one and it was a good repro except that the lid doesn't stay tight very well. I'm hoping that will go away over time.

I also am looking for a good dash. I see someone has already asked for it but if it doesn't work out I'd be interested too. Same for the 69 grill.

Camperama....That thing would have some room...
Wanna see my fave version of the "conversions"...
The ambulance...Get a load of these...Found them
while searching the web a while back..I was considering
the idea of how the rear of ford van would look,
attached to the front of a ford truck.. But these are
probably better looking, as you get to keep the "crease"
on the side, using the stock bed.
A998.jpg is a 68-69?? I think, and A44.jpg looks like a
72..?? Both have the same appx type of conversion
tops.

I'd love to find one of these for a "ford truck-wagon". 8)
I uploaded them direct, and also links to my server just in case...

Pass go and collect $200...

BTW, note the side tool boxes...Might have been
camper specials...Unless maybe they just
ordered the boxes as a stand alone option..

Hmmm....well I'll be darned. I just checked the DC catalog and see you're right. I don't think I ever noticed that before. Not a bad price either at $25. Oh well. I'll try to get some pictures of the grille later today. It does have a few slight bends to it in a couple places, but would make a good grille for a driver.

I didn't grab any little coat hooks. Those are available for only about $7.50 from DC, so it really wouldn't be worth the trouble. However, I think I might have a couple left over from other parts trucks. I can take a look today when I stop by the shop for pics of the grille. As for the beltline trim, I think I have enough pieces to put together a nice full set for you. There might be a slight ding or two but otherwise very nice. I'll see what I have and get some pics.

The dashpad I got yesterday is going to be kept for my project, since it's absolutely perfect. However, the dashpad I WAS going to use is now available, and it's only got one minor flaw. The stud which holds the extreme left corner is missing, but that's it. It'll bolt down just fine, and there are no cracks or rips anywhere and still very soft. I'll try to get some pics later today of this as well.

You da man. :D I'll take the one with bad stud it'll still look better than mine. :D And a few dings in the beltline i think for a daily driver is perfect. As the kids getting out of mommys' new mercedes or Lexus just swing their doors full bash int it.

i think its secondary function was a dent preventer. even with the big dents and dings in my current beltline there is still no damage behind it. However the bed on the trailer has no beltline and exhibits minor dents and dings down the length of it.

Is the 69 reservoir like the 70? I can't remember. Anyhow, I had the same problem with mine. I wound up taking the old reservoir cap and putting it on the Carpenter reservoir. It fit perfect. I thought I might have got a bad cap.

Yes, the '68-'70 styles are the same....more of a rounded plastic jug, whereas the '71-up style is more square.

My good dash (I have several) also had a stud missing. I used a 2 part epoxy and glued the correct size bolt in there (held in place with duct tape while it dried) and it has held better than the factory ones.

I just use the 71-79 style on all mine, they fit and are plentiful. My pick/and/pull local yard doesn't even charge me for that kind of stuff. You do have to drill the holes to mount the later style in the earlier truck and may need to change the plug.

Yeah I'm looking for the early style rounded jug for my '68.

Keith, about the motorhome conversion in the junkyard, that would have been a "chassis-windshield" model.

There was the "chassis cab" which basically had no bed (chassis and a cab), the "chassis windshield" where the cab stopped behind the windshield, and finally the "chassis cowl" had no windshield.
