brake clutch

Post by customcrewcab »

well got the brake and clutch worked out. also welded up the big whole where the steering comes out. you can also see the metal that was added to the inner fender to cover where the steering box was. with the 3/8 plated the hydroboost worked perfect with the pedals.

well i guess theres 6 because it helps hold the dash and the steering is tied in. MadMaxetc are you talking about the clutch cable? i tied it into the 3/8" bracket because there is alot of presure on the firewall. inside i just took the existing and added another piece to the help clock the alumimum part. here is a pic.

almost forgot i had to remove the brace under the dash that comes down in a angle because it hit. i guess i could have trimed it but is seems just as sturdy.

Thanks for the pictures. did you check to make sure that you get full clutch disengagement? Our trcuks have a longer arm and more travel than a car. I am just wondering about ratios.

well i am running a t-56 and am not 100% sure. should be ok. i have adjustment on both the firewall and the clutch cable where it hooks in the arm. i still need to move or build a new transmission crossmember. i am waiting until i get it to my buddies shop and it on the lift. its alot heavier then the t-5.

Those 2 extra holes are to connect the brake booster if your truck is so equipped.
