well my hydroboost showed up today. its every cool and my wilwood master cylinder bolted right up. hope to get a new mounting plate fabbed up this week. heres acouple of pics.

well this is my first one. from everthing i read it works alot better. i have less then 300 bucks in whats sitting there and thats with that fancy master cylinder. i think i have around 1500 in the whole brakes set up. thats with wilwood nascar 6 piston calipers and 13" two piece rotors on all four corners. thats not bad because one caliper list for 1869.00 at wilwood. so that over 8 grand worth of brakes with the rotors and pads. this thing should stop on a dime i hope.

So what vehicle was that Hydroboost listed for? It really doesn't matter, I guess, since they're all made by the same manufacturer and are essentially the same.

i am not sure. a guy sells a bunch of them on ebay. i just wanted one that would bolt up to my master cylinder. i know the newer mustangs the bolt are up and down not side to side. i think it out of a chevy? i have no idea. i was thinking about drawing up the mounting plate in autocad. then i could just have them cut out so they can bolt into the existing pedels. maybe sell them. i do have to cut the hole alittle bigger in the firewall but other then that not much fab work.

How do you hook up to the power steering pump? Is there one pressure line and one low presure return, like a power steering pump, or are they both high presure lines? Do you use "T"'s or is it series with the lines that go to the power steering box? Seems like a great upgade with little to no fab work. Gotta make sure the system can handle 2000psi though. Don't want to blow out crusty fittings.

ok from what i read the passenger side line goes to the pressure side of the pump. the driverside line goes to the power steering box or rack in pinion in my case pressure in side. the last one is the return that goes to the pump return in. you might have to t for the return for the rack or steering box unless you have a dual return powersteering pump. i think thats about it.

i was reading the color of the canster has to do with different power levels.

Just info sharing here. I picked up a 74 lincoln Mark IV a couple of years back that had hydroboost. That thing stoped on a dime. It also had four wheel disc brakes. It was impressive. Anyway, good luck w/ your build.
