1969 body paint....what color? help!

I have a 1969 F-100 and I just finished all the body work. The whole truck is done now except for paint. But, I still don't know and can't decide what color to paint the truck. Id rather go with a new color rather than a 1969 factory color, because Ive done a few "modifications" . I want something that looks hot, but not to gaudy. I was thinking a dark blue pearl or maybe a black cherry or a gunmetal. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a guy in my neighborhood that has a clear-coated purple '70 Sport Custom shortbox...I think it's a later (maybe mid-'90's) model Ford pickup color....IMO,it would look great if he didn't leave the chrome side trim...It just doesn't look right having all that old fashioned chrome with a late model color....

hmm two tones always looked nice to me....along the lines of paint what were the fender/bumpers painted....mine have a aging white on them now, and through the cracks i can see a sort of ivory color

Eventually my '68 F100 is going to be silver with a red interior, and the nice wide woodgrain moldings that the Ranger XLT's had. (Hey, it's MY truck and I'll do what I want to! )

I like newer paints. I would consider the new ford truck and some car color True Blue. SICK color IMO, the Sonic Blue is just too gaudy. Another nice blue is the Acura darker blue they used on the type-s cars.
